The catalogue raisonné includes 522 authentic paintings. The catalogue was compiled by the artist's family, and issued under the auspices of the Jawlensky Archiv, Locarno. A supplement is currently in preparation. Individual entries include title, date, provenance, inscriptions, stamps and labels, exhibitions, references, and number in Jawlensky's photo archive. Most works are illustrated with b&w images and some color plates. Individual volumes also contain additions and corrections to previous volumes.
