The introduction addresses the need for a re-examination of some of the attributed works and copies after Strozzi that were included in Mortari's early monograph on the artist (See entry cited in this database). The catalogue raisonné is divided by theme: subject paintings, still-lifes, portraits, drawings, and addenda. There is also a discussion of the drawings contained in the so-called "Sagredo Album", a subject index, and a list of works in public collections and historical palaces.
