This critical study of Chardin was first published in a French edition (Paris Hazan, 1994). It carries on after the earlier Wildenstein catalogues raisonnés (1933, 1963, 1969, see entries cited in this database), and is accompanied by an illustrated catalogue of engravings after Chardin's paintings.
