The catalogue was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Musées de la Cour d'Or, Metz. The publication includes a list of exhibited works, a critical biography and other essays, and a complete catalogue of authentic works. There is a separate list of questioned attributions. The Appendices include selected documents, a bibliography, an exhibition list, a general index, and a list of works in public collections.
