The first edition of this work was published in 1930 by Rudolf Mosse Buchverlag, Berlin as "Erich Mendelsohn: das Gesamtschaffen des Architeken : Skizzen, Entwürfe, Bauten". A German language reprint of the original edition was also published in 1988 (Braunschweig; Wiesbaden: Friedrich Vieweg & Sohn). In addition to the catalogue, the publication includes: two articles on New Architecture; two lectures from 1919 and 1923; sketches and photographs of the architect's projects; and a biref listing of exhibitions and publications.
