An online project under the direction of the Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester, MA. The sponsors of the project state that this is a work in progress, allowing new material to be added, and as such catalogue information will be updated periodically and new entries added in due course. The catalogue raisonné covers the artist's paintings, drawings (the majority of which are in the Museum's collection) and unique prints. There is also a section of historical materials with information on early exhibitions, prints after Lane's works, types of sailing vessels, flags, historical photographs, and other historical documentation. N.B. not all works have been catalogued to date, if an unpublished work is mentioned in the catalog, the text will not be an active link.
