The first volume is divided into three parts. Part 1 deals with 22 sets of paintings executed by Zurbarán and his assistants. The second part contains a catalogue of works by prominent members of the artist's studio, including his son Juan de Zurbarán, Francisco and Miguel Polanco, and Ignacio de Ries. Part 3 contains a catalogue of works by other members of the artist's studio and followers. Volume 2 includes an Addenda of 7 authentic works by Zurbarán not included in Volume 1. A supplement is currently in preparation.
