Considered the most "comprehensive publication" on the artist to date (book jacket), it contains a catalogue raisonné of all of Auerbach's paintings (excluding those smaller than 22 x 30"), but is without critical apparatus. All the works are illustrated with thumbnail photographs. The publication includes the transcript of the author's interview with the artist, lists of exhibitions and writings, and commentaries by the artist.
