This re-edition of Cooper's 1977 publication (see entry cited in this database) reproduces more than two thirds of the original b&w illustrations in color. It also adds a new English introduction, and updated references in English to sales and exhibition catalogues published since the issue of the first edition. It also includes new indexes. The texts are in English and French, but the painting titles are also in Spanish. The second edition includes some revisions and updates to the original publication, and adds one new painting to the artist's oeuvre (illustrated).
