The catalogue raisonné was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles. Essays focus on the artist's life and work as well as on workshops and weavers he was associated with, and insignia used on his tapestries. In addition to the catalogue raisonné of the tapestries, there is a separate section on unwoven design cartoons. The publication also includes a glossary of tapestry terminology and a list of public collections housing the artist's works.
