This is the English language edition of: "L'opera completa del van Eyck" (presentazione di Raffaello Briganti), Milan, Rizzoli, 1968, but with a new introduction by Robert Hughes. The critical notes and catalogue in both editions are by Giorgio Faggin. The catalogue includes excerpts from critical writings on the van Eycks from the 16th - 20th centuries. There is a brief section dealing with attributed works and paintings known only from documents.
